Don't error if an ignored path doesn't exist

Currently trunk fatal errors if an ignored path doesn't exist, which is unfortunate as I am trying a symlink approach for trunk configuration to workaround the lack of nested repo support:

Oh I see, this is more of a feature than a bug in normal usage, but we could add an explicit
optional: true
so we don't lose the explicit checking
